Catholic Women Organisation of Nigeria, Lagos Archdiocese ( CWONLA), Lekki Deanery is the Umbrella Body for all Catholic Women in Lekki Deanery- Lagos Archdiocese. We operate and function under the authority and aegis of CWONLA to achieve the aims and objectives of the Catholic Women Organisation, Nigeria ( CWON ).
Membership: All women 25years and above who are members of the various Parishes in Lekki Deanery. Aims and Objectives: To unite all Catholic women in Lekki Deanery and promote unity, love and peace within the community for the development, and growth of the the various Parishes in the deanery. To encourage deep understanding of all Catholic Doctrines and participation in the Liturgy. To act as a medium through which Catholic Women in Lekki Deanery would act as one body and speak on issues related to empowerment for women and advocacy for the girl child. To coordinate and enhance the religious, spiritual, educational, literacy, development, moral, social and charitable services of CWON in Lekki Deanery; interfacing between the women of Lekki Deanery and CWONLA and through it to the Provincial and National Councils to ensure the ideas and needs of women are taken up and acted upon appropriately. To see to the welfare of members and support one another; to embark on meaninful projects that will better the lives of women in CWONLA Lekki Deanery and all Mankind. To encourage Vocation to the Priesthood and Religious Life by supporting their training. To encourage, establish and maintain inter-religious and intra-religious relationships with other religious organizations, sharing similar or complimentary aims and objectives in Nigeria and abroad without compromising Catholic Morals and Values.
